Gmail: Serving Lousy Drunks Since 2004

October 16, 2008

If you’re a Gmail user, you really should check out the Google Labs features that are available. These are all random little enhancements developed on the side by Google developers. Most of these come out of the 20% of time that Google employees are allowed to spend on personal projects during the work week.

The most interesting one I’ve seen lately is called “Mail Goggles.” Google’s description reads:

Google strives to make the world’s information useful. Mail you send late night on the weekends may be useful but you may regret it the next morning. Solve some simple math problems and you’re good to go. Otherwise, get a good night’s sleep and try again in the morning. After enabling this feature, you can adjust the schedule in the “General” settings page.

Translation: If you’re too drunk to do third grade math, you shouldn’t be sending email.

Gotta love the Google.
