Introducing… Wedge!

The baby’s “fetal name” is Wedge. That is, since we still don’t know the gender, we’ve been calling him or her Wedge for a few months. That’s the name we’ll be using for a while, and honestly, at this point it will be difficult for me not to call the child “Wedge” after his/her birth. My best friend’s son just turned six, and we still call the little guy “Frifry” from time to time.

Wedge’s first picture was on August 1 at 12 weeks (see Photos/Video page). We had to get an early ultrasound because the doc thought Maryalice was a bit further along than originally thought. No worries, though. It turns out that we’re right on schedule and everything looked great. The next ultrasound is set for September 19, when we should find out if Wedge is a girl’s or boy’s name.

“Mr. Voice” Has Passed Away

This is sad. I think “Mr. Voice,” Don LaFontaine, has voiced the trailer for pretty much every film I’ve ever loved. Mr. LaFontaine passed away Monday at age 68. Read more.
